Power Partners Is on Track toward Compliance with the DOE's Ruling on Distribution Transformer Efficiency
2/3/2009
ATHENS, GA, February 3, 2009 - Power Partners announced today that it is on track in its efforts to comply with the Department of Energy's (DOE) ruling on distribution transformer efficiency issued in October, 2007.
"Following the DOE's ruling, Power Partners developed a comprehensive project plan involving nearly every function of the operation to ensure compliance," said Tom Lopp, vice president of marketing. "A portion of our volume already met the new efficiency standards, and the project plan addresses converting the remaining volume to the new efficiency levels."
"Power Partners is on schedule in executing the detailed plan and we are positioned to convert our customers' designs, where applicable, to the required efficiency levels prior to January 1, 2010. From a design and materials availability standpoint, Power Partners expects to make this conversion without impacting customers' delivery schedules."
