Power Partners Fulfills 2005 Emergency Hurricane Orders

ATHENS, GA, December 15, 2005 - The 2005 Atlantic hurricane season was the busiest and most costly on record. In 154 years of recordkeeping, 2005 had the most named storms (26), the most hurricanes (13), the highest number of hurricanes hitting the U.S. (4), and the most Category 5 hurricanes (3).
Power Partners employees worked around the clock to meet customers' hurricane-related orders. There were storm emergency orders for more than 9,900 tranfomers, and most were built and shipped in two to ten days.
Forecasters say 2006 could be another brutal year because the Atlantic is in a period of frenzied hurricane activity that began in 1995 and could last another decade.
